The Story Behind the Name: SPA GAIT


The name SPA GAIT was born in the spring of 2021 — long before the product itself was ready. The naming process took nearly a month, as Sasha explored countless options, searching for a name that would reflect the true essence of what she was creating.

Since the product has a semi-medical purpose and focuses on comfort, massage, and antiseptic properties, Sasha knew from the start that she wanted the word “Spa” in the name.
Why Spa?

It’s universal and easily understood across many languages.

It carries a strong association with comfort and healing.

And yes — Sasha simply loves the letter “S.”

The challenge came with choosing the second part of the name. Since the product is for feet — she wanted to reflect that in the name as well. After trying out multiple combinations without success, she had an insight late at night: check English synonyms for “walk”.

The next day, while looking through dictionaries, she discovered the word “Gait.”
It was a perfect fit. That magical moment — finding the one — felt like a sign. Sasha thanks God for that insight, as it confirmed that the product was meant to be shared with the world.

Here’s something that no one would guess unless Sasha told you herself:
SPA GAIT phonetically resembles the word “spaghetti.”


And that, unexpectedly, became a key advantage.
Everyone knows the word spaghetti — it has a global recognition and a strong neural association, often linked to something positive (and delicious!). From a marketing perspective, anchoring a new brand name to something already familiar is a powerful move.

During her live streams in 2025, viewers also pointed out another unexpected link — “shpagat” (the Russian/Ukrainian word for “split” or “stretch”). Although this wasn’t Sasha’s conscious intention, the association added another layer of meaning to the name — one of flexibility and movement.

The Slogan Evolution
The first official slogan Sasha chose was:
Fresh in every step!

Over time, she felt the need to simplify and strengthen the message, so she eventually refined it to:
Step Fresh!

This evolution unfolded over more than six months, a testament to the care and clarity behind every word connected to the brand.
